CLEVACANCES, A RECOGNISED BRAND MARK
The Clévacances quality approach was soon recognised by the French Government’s tourist services: on 30 May 1997, Clévacances France became one of the two national quality seals approved by the Ministry of Tourism.
Under this approval, renewed on 12 July, 2004, the French Government officially recognises:
- the Clévacances Quality Charter, which refers to the Ministerial decree of 28 December 1976 on the classification of furnished holiday accommodation, as modified by the decrees of 8 January 1993 and 1 April 1997,
- the mandate of the network of Clévacances professionals to inspect and classify tourist accommodation, in close liaison with department Prefects
The network’s technical inspectors are entitled to award a ministerial classification, and they are also guardians of the national Clévacances Quality Charter, which guarantees the facilities and security of accommodation with the quality seal, and common standards throughout France.
